The role of the Lung Cancer NP at the PAH is an autonomous, patient focused advanced practice service. The service encompasses the Lung Cancer patient throughout their health care trajectory, utilising advanced assessments, clinical investigation, and interpretation to facilitate optimal patient care and outcomes.

The Lung Cancer NP role optimises nonclinical advanced cares in addition to the clinical aspects of the role, this includes education, information, data collection and change management.

The NP role is a fiscal opportunity to address the changing landscape of cancer care and is supported by an abundance of evidence that indicates positive patient outcomes.
