Haitham Tuffaha
Professor Haitham Tuffaha is the Chief Research Officer and Director of the Viertel Cancer Research Centre at Cancer Council Queensland. He is an experienced health economist and oncology pharmacist with over 20 years of international experience in cancer care, research, health technology assessment and health policy.
His work focuses on translating research into meaningful health and societal impact through evidence-informed decision-making, economic evaluation, value-based care and implementation of innovative models of care. He has held senior academic and research leadership positions at The University of Queensland and serves on the Board of the Clinical Oncology Society of Australia (COSA).
